The joys of winter

Winter is here. Outside white snowflakes dance in the air, fine ice crystals settle on window panes glowing with warm light, and forests and meadows are covered in snow. Inside, we make ourselves warm and cozy. You can use our figurines, the Winter Children for example, to bring colorful accents into your home that will put a smile on the faces of all who see them, even on dreary winter days. This enchanting pair are the perfect companions for this frosty time of year and will always catch the eye on a table, shelf or sideboard.

Decorative ideas for winter

Penguin parade

We have Olly Wendt, née Sommer’s, love of animal figurines to thank for her enchanting penguins. The imaginative design of these feathered inhabitants of Antarctica has been delighting us for almost 100 years. One of them is wearing a red hat – a detail that always raises a smile. A handy tip: you can create small icebergs by draping white cloth over boxes of different heights. Here the penguins will feel particularly at home.

The magic of the stars

Dexterity and creativity are required if you want to turn unremarkable lengths of straw into beautiful stars. Traditionally they are used as delicate decorations to trim the Christmas tree, but they are also perfect as part of a table decoration. Each one can be used as a small stage for a Marguerite Angel or another of your favorite figurines – and long after Christmas is over.

A special stage

The youngest member of the Moon Family is making a solo appearance. And on a very special stage – a hand-folded snowflake. Arranged on a stoneware plate, this places the Star Child and other favorite figurines in the limelight, especially in winter. Dried orange slices and berries reflect the sunny yellow of the figurine and complement the scene. You will find detailed instructions of how to make the snowflake on Pinterest.
