Music Box with "Two Girls", with 18-note Musical Movement
Whether Grete Wendt was enjoying working on her flowerbeds when she had the idea for the design of this music box remains a secret. What is well known is that she loved flowers.
This is how to make gardening fun: while the cheerful gardeners are diligently tending their fl owers and beds, they are accompanied by the gentle sounds of the high-quality Swiss 18-note musical movement. The melody “Ward ein Blümlein mir geschenket” (a German folk song about the joy of the garden) fits the scene perfectly.
Girl with Coloring Book
The figurine of this girl was originally commissioned to advertise a bookshop in Chemnitz. This is the reason her coloring book is shown as a “Book of Fairy Tales” in the original design. Today this figurine is called “Girl with Coloring Book”. But regardless of whether it is a coloring book or a book of fairy tales – the cover of her book can be inscribed with a personal dedication.
Erzgebirge Angel, Red, with Electric Lighting
Inspired by an Angel with Candle Holder made in Lippersdorf, in 1923 Olly Wendt (née Sommer) used its form as the basis for her own painted figurine. Every Advent these Erzgebirge Angels grace the windows of the workshops in Grünhainichen. In addition, every Christmas a small series of these “Lippersdorf Angels” is produced in two different patterns and colorways, and put on sale in Wendt & Kühn’s own stores in Seiffen and Grünhainichen. They are also available with electric candles if required.

Each of these “large” angels is approximately 30 centimeters tall and each comes with suitable mounting means to either suspend them from above or stand them upright.
