Wendt & Kühn can look back on nearly 110 years of company history, having successfully navigated two world wars, two regime changes, nationalization during the GDR era, and re-privatization following German reunification in 1989/90. Highlights of the company’s history include the Grand Prix awarded to Grete Wendt in 1937 for her design of the Angel Orchestra on an Angel Mountain with a graceful Madonna; the opening of the Wendt & Kühn World in Grünhainichen and the Wendt & Kühn World of Figures in Seiffen; and the 100th anniversary of the Eleven Dot Angels.
