G for Green
There are over 50 different shades of green used in painting, and one was reserved for the wings of the Eleven Dot Angels. We don’t know exactly why Grete Wendt chose this particular color for their wings. Green is regarded as the color of hope, harmony, and nature – all of which played an important role in Grete Wendt’s life and may have influenced the design.
