T for Timber Store
In this timber store just outside Grünhainichen, the wood undergoes two drying stages – first naturally, then in a kiln – until it reaches a relative humidity of 8-10%. On average, the wood is stored for about twelve months before kiln drying, with an additional one to three weeks depending on the type of wood, before being transported to the workshop for processing.
